"Chopin in America" music show

"Chopin in America" is a music show directed by Andrzej Strzelecki and presenting a little-known episode in Fryderyk Chopin’s life, when, aged 22, and in financial troubles, he decided to leave for America.

These plans never came true but the authors of the show are wondering what if Chopin had emigrated... Using the play-within-the play device, they confront the Composer with the reality of the 19th century America and put him to an intriguing (if fictional) experiment. The makers of the show admit that it is actually based on a play with the audience. "Chopin in America" is sparkling with good humour and brimming with up-to-date references.
