CHOPIN 2010 Celebrations office

Mazurka seasoned with songs. Teatime at the Chopin’s

An artistic and integration programme letting the audience experience first-hand the atmosphere of Warsaw’s and Paris’s salons of the Romantic period and listen to live Chopin music.

Apart from artistic values the programme offers much educational content. The script assumes active participation of the audience and joint music making.  

The programme features Chopin’s music and songs, including My Delight, The Wish, The Messenger, What She Likes, A Lithuanian Song, The Handsome Lad, Spring, The Merrymaking.
The show furnishes the audience with a lot of information on the composer’s life and work, both in the Warsaw and the Paris period. The viewers will also take part in numerous activities and competitions aiming to provide them with more insight into the inspirations, playing technique, novel sound quality, expression, innovativeness and originality of the music composed by "the poet of the piano".
The programme may be performed in English or German, in order to suit foreign audience’s needs.
