- Kordegarda CHOPIN 2010
Polish-Bulgarian-Czech group SARAKINA presents Balkan Chopin, a project featuring Chopin’s music arranged with the elements of Balkan ethno-jazz.
The group gathers professional musicians, graduates of colleges of music. Their albums SARAKINA (2001) and Junctions (2004) have won the Best Folk Recording of the Year (Najlepszy Fonogram Roku).
Marek Garztecki (Jazz Forum 9/2009): "We have had Chopin served in jazz, rock and pop seasoning, yet this is one of the most interesting [projects], offering a reference to the great Romantic’s folk sources of inspiration."

Recommendations
Tomasz Janas: "Fryderykata is a musical tribute to the great composer, and at the same time a challenge to his traditional interpretations. It is "merely" an inspiration for musical sketches, and at the same time the proof of a thorough investigation into Chopin's creativity."
Eelco Schilder (FolkWorld.eu): "The best album of the band until today, pure music of the highest quality. Sure Chopin is smiling in heaven (or wherever he is right now)."
